This would be a nice update in the Logitech gaming mouse series. In its new gaming mouse models, Logitech has used a new Hero sensor that makes the gaming experience and smoothness for the gamers to the next level. The jump in DPI of the Hero sensor will make it very famous among all gaming mouse brands although this would not give a huge benefit to the gaming experience for users as jumping from 16000 dpi to 25600 dpi. But still, it's a positive upgrade in their technology and software.
If you have a newer model of Logitech gaming mouse with a Hero sensor like Logitech pro wireless or Logitech G502 lightspeed or any model having Logitech's Hero sensor then there is a new software update from Logitech that will boost the sensitivity level of your mouse to the next level with 25,600 dpi.
Even without an update, Logitech is providing much greater speeds, accuracy, smoothness, and high dpi ranges in their mouse models with maximum ranges up to 16,000 DPI. And this update is taking these models beyond the speed limits. The following models will get this update to reach their limits of gaming experience with Logitech's high-quality tech:
List of supported mouse models
- Pro Wireless
- Pro (Hero)
- G903 Lightspeed
- G703 Lightspeed
- G604 Lightspeed
- G502 Lightspeed
- G502 Hero
- G403 Hero
Even this level of speed and high dpi cannot be in use for gamers in real life, but this shows the power and potential of the new hero sensor. According to the Logitech brand, now the Hero sensor has the potential to detect movements on a sub-micron level.
As the generation is passing Logitech is bringing innovations and technologies in the market without any compromise on the quality of their products. Logitech is now making their gaming mouse models in wireless technology to give a more clean look to gamers for their gaming steups and so this upgrade might have some impacts on the battery life of their wireless models. But the Logitech said that the impact on battery will not be greater now as it uses smart power management to keep the power consumption minimal.
To bring this update to your mouse, you will need to download Logitech's G HUB software. Keeping in mind that older models that use different sensors other than the Hero sensor will not notice any boost in dpi level or any other change. Like Logitech older model G402,302 etc will not get this update.
